Offensive Babbles
May. 18th, 2013 07:23 amI have kept an online journal (not a blog) for many years. People have told me lots of uplifting things about how they like knowing that a freak like me can still be a success so they have hope for their freak kid. They read my crap for a bit, then find other places to read (most of which promise fake cures for autism). Iz Kay. Then they tell me how they have to support Autism Speaks (the eugenics society that says all fetuses/babies that may be autistic should be killed as soon as diagnosed) because it would be horrible to have a happy child that couldn't relate to the horrors of society.
So now I have to make an ethics statement. Not religious - I think the Catholic church has done more harm to the world than all other evils combined, yet I call myself a Christian. This is about ethics - churches are incapable of ethics by rule - they are obligated to do what the leaders say without regard to correctness.
Oops, I got sidetracked.
On the one hand we have a church that runs half the world that says have as many babies as possible because it is good to die from malnutrition in the service of a god you never met and cannot meet because you are poor and therefore not good enough to meet his insane rep on Earth, the man that has never seen a naked woman but tells you she is evil and can be resisted, yes, the Pope! the man who has never in his life worked for a living so is an authority on how to live as a working man, has never had sex so is an authority on sex and the prevention of sexually transmitted disease, has never studied physics so is the authority on the physics describing (note, not setting, merely describing) the age of the earth, has never even been outside a semi-tropical region so is an authority on warming arctic and antarctic regions. He is omniscient because - prepare yourself - his advisors are the major corporations of the world.
Nah - this isn't an anti-Catholic diatribe, much as it looks like. The Jewish church is the same. The Mormons have always been openly hypocritical money grubbing twits. Scientology was founded by a science fiction author who said "To get rich, found a church" - now really really stupid people take his stories as religious truth in spite of knowing he lied about his real life all the time. Then we got Baptists. Here in the bigot belt they are the church. Everything's allowed as long as you get to church Sunday morning and say you're sorry, much like the Catholic Saturday evening 'confession' (in which you are required to confess sins even if you didn't commit any).
Follow the ritual and you are in good shape.
Like an autistic. Let us have our rituals/routines (routine is a more correct word but it doesn't carry the emotive force of ritual so ...)
Two differences.
1) I know I'm nuts
2) I never claim my fantasies overrule facts, they're just more fun
Oh - and my Mom and Dad and me all think that letting me live to my current age of 31 was not a bad thing, my employer wishes I would remember to go to the ladies room when my tea wants to come out but they are still willing to pay me in the 'top 2%' even though they had to pay a couple thousand to put outdoor carpet in my office, the IRS is really happy I work in the US and earn enough to not qualify for disability, and the only people that think I should not have been born is the pseudo-charity Autism Speaks - the euthanasia society claiming to support people like me, and the fake Christians that claim being handicapped is a punishment from God (if it is, I am glad he punished me more than you).
I have no idea why I started this but I still feel strongly about it so as some moron on the idiot box says (and I probably got it all wrong :D )
BANG
there it is
