Yes. This was a post-Christmas talk she gave while she was resting earlier.

I'm guessing the translation as follows:
'Christmas day is over, new years is next. Don't *something* New Years, Just call it that. It's the time for saying people are going to be good for a time, even though no one is really going to. But it's nice they tried. Happy new years!'

Pretty much - except she has no grasp of what "year" means since time means nothing to her. So she really thinks it is "New Ears". So it's "don't really get new ears, it's just called that".
