Here I go - I am about to offend everyone that I know.
using "u" or "r" as words should be prima facie evidence of imbecility.
And if stupidity were a crime 90% of the world would be in jail, with 99.99% of the rest in hiding.

There was nothing general about my comment- I was very specific about which abbreviations I was talking about. Reread it. If you still think it was a generalization about abbreviations, reread it. Continue rereading until you grasp the content.

I can understand in cellphone messages. Makes a lot of sense since you have to click so many times just to get to a letter you want. But in Instant Messengers, Email,or an online game it REALLY bugs me.
